Blickling Hall is 1 ½ miles from Aylsham.

The house dates from the early seventeenth century.
It is surrounded by open ground and woodlands together with a large lake set in nearly 5000 acres. Ornamental gardens are close to the house and the hedges to the front of the house are a feature on their own.

The numerous paths and tracks afford views across the Bure Valley and the lake. Cycle hire is also available at certain times of the year.

Apart from being able to view the wonderful interior of the house and its fine collection of furniture, paintings and tapestries there are also many exhibitions of local historical interest.

Refreshments are available a large secondhand bookshop is a good place to find that long searched for book.
